• This mandatory online health declaration aims to strengthen health surveillance at points of entry, reintroduced in response to the Ebola/Bundibugyo outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
• Travellers must complete the SDF online up to 24 hours prior to arrival, providing recent travel history, risk exposure, and symptom details.

• Effective 1 July 2026, the South African Revenue Service introduced a mandatory online traveller declaration.
