- The United Arab Emirates announced on 25 June 2026 that nationals of Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa are now eligible for a visa-on-arrival.
- This applies to those holding a valid residence permit in the United States, European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada.
- Travellers can choose a 14-day visa for AED 100, renewable once, or a 60-day visa for AED 250, which is non-renewable.

- South Africa launched its mandatory online traveller declaration system on 1 July 2026, applying to citizens, residents, and foreign visitors entering or leaving via air, sea, land, and rail.
- This system, managed by SARS, is primarily a customs control tool requiring declarations of goods and currency.
- Singapore’s SG Arrival Card, an electronic health declaration, must be submitted within three days before arrival by air, sea, or land for most travellers.
