• The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will launch an updated digital SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with a refreshed interface.
• This update expands available languages from 12 to 19 and introduces smoother navigation and an integrated passport autofill feature.
• All nationalities entering Singapore must complete the SGAC, which is separate from any visa requirements.

• The newly launched Electronic Travel Authorisation system employs biometric technology, automated risk analysis, and passport scanning to identify fraudulent documents and applicants.
• Initially piloted for travellers from China, India, Indonesia, and Mexico, the ETA is now operational at key international airports.
• It will progressively become compulsory for short-stay travellers from nations needing port-of-entry visas, with visa-exempt visitors able to use it voluntarily for faster processing.

• When a visa on arrival is refused, travellers remain under the control of airport authorities, typically held in transit or dedicated detention facilities.
• Airlines are initially responsible for arranging repatriation to the point of origin or an admissible location, covering custody and care costs for improperly documented passengers.
• However, under ICAO frameworks, airlines may recover these transportation expenses from the passenger.
