China expands visa-free entry for Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam
- From 20 August 2026, ordinary passport holders from Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam benefit from two expanded visa-free entry schemes.
- The 240-Hour Visa-free Transit Policy permits stays up to 240 hours via 65 designated ports for travellers with confirmed onward tickets to a third country.
- Additionally, the Hainan 30-Day Visa-free Entry Policy allows visits of up to 30 days within Hainan Province for arrivals via international ports.

Angola Migrates eVisa Applications to New Online Platform
- Angola's immigration agency, SME, launched the new platform in August 2026, redirecting users from the previous site.
- Applicants for tourist and business e-visas must now create a personal user account to submit applications and track processing status.
- Key changes include mandatory online payment of fees during the application, unlike the previous system where fees were paid on arrival.

Bolivia's Mandatory SIGEMIG Online Entry Form Now Required for Most Travellers
- The SIGEMIG (Sistema de Gestión Migratoria) digital entry form became mandatory from mid-2025, replacing previous paper arrival cards.
- It is a free online pre-registration that applies to almost all foreign visitors, including tourists, business travellers, and families, regardless of whether they require a visa.
- This includes citizens from visa-free nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada, and Australia.
