Albania eVisa Scam: Fake Portals Impersonating Official Website Exposed

Multiple fraudulent websites impersonating Albania's official eVisa portal have been discovered, exposing travellers to scams.

An investigation documented multiple fraudulent websites impersonating Albania's official eVisa service, with domains registered between October 2025 and June 2026. These lookalike sites replicated government branding and application workflows, collecting passport and personal details. The Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs issued a public warning about a fraudulent site in April 2026. Furthermore, over 1,950 systems compromised by infostealer malware contained saved credentials or session data for the legitimate eVisa portal, extending the risk to those using infected devices.
