Azerbaijan Eases Visa Rules for Formula 1 and FIFA U-15 Events

Azerbaijan is introducing temporary visa on arrival procedures for certain foreign nationals attending two major sporting events. This applies to the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix and the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in 2026.

The visa on arrival for the Formula 1 Grand Prix is available from August 25 to September 30, requiring a race ticket or official accreditation. For the FIFA U-15 event, the window is September 22 to November 5, and eligibility is limited to those with an official invitation from AFFA or FIFA accreditation; a regular match ticket does not qualify.

These provisions are temporary and event-specific, not representing a broader change to Azerbaijan's standard visa policy for all visitors.
