Bahrain Launches Fourth Phase of New Visa Policy with Extended Stays

Bahrain introduced new single-entry and eVisa options, alongside extended stays for several nationalities from 2026.

The Ministry of Interior's Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs launched new single-entry visas allowing a two-week stay. A one-year multiple-entry eVisa now permits stays of up to 90 days per visit. The three-month multiple-entry visa has extended its allowed duration from two weeks to one month. For citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland, the five-year multiple-entry visa now permits 90-day stays, up from 30 days. These new options are accessible to nationals from 114 countries, with 67 nationalities also qualifying for visas on arrival. The reforms aim to attract more tourists and business visitors to Bahrain as part of its ongoing commitment to accessibility.
