Brazil Reintroduces eVisa for US, Canadian, Australian Tourists

Brazil has reinstated an electronic visa (eVisa) requirement for tourists from the United States, Canada, and Australia. This measure ended the visa-free entry these nationalities enjoyed since 2019, taking effect on 10 April 2025. The eVisa is applied for entirely online before travel through Brazil's official government-authorised portal. It is a reciprocity measure, reflecting the visa requirements Brazil's citizens face for these countries. Applicants must pay a fee online, the amount of which should be verified on the official portal.
