Cambodia Consulates Cease Issuing Physical Visas, Transition to Electronic Format

Cambodian embassies and consulates now issue all visas electronically, replacing physical passport stickers from October 3, 2026.

Cambodian diplomatic missions globally ceased issuing physical visa stickers in passports from October 3, 2026. All visas issued by embassies and consulates are now delivered electronically as part of a broader digitisation effort. While some missions still accept in-person applications, others direct travellers to the official e-Visa portal.

This change follows the August 1, 2026, expansion of the e-Visa system to include diplomatic, official, and courtesy visa categories. Tourist and ordinary e-visas remain available for $30 and $35 respectively, valid for a single entry and a one-month stay. Visa on arrival continues for eligible travellers at international airports and specific land and river border crossings. Furthermore, all travellers must complete a separate digital e-Arrival card online or via an app within seven days before entry.
