China and Tanzania in talks for 10-day visa-free transit

It would specifically benefit business travellers using Chinese cities as transit hubs, enabling them to conduct meetings and explore opportunities during stopovers. However, the visa-free scheme would not apply to Tanzanians visiting China directly for tourism, business, or other purposes; they would still require a visa. Discussions are currently ongoing, with no final agreement reached between the two nations as of July 2026.
