Citizens from the United Kingdom, European Union (Schengen Area), United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are generally granted visa-free entry to Colombia for stays up to 90 days. This initial period is extendable for another 90 days at a Migración Colombia office, permitting a maximum total of 180 days within a calendar year. All international travellers must complete the mandatory Check-Mig pre-registration form between 72 hours and one hour before their flight's departure or arrival. Nationalities not included in the visa-exempt list are required to apply for a Tourist Visa (Visa V) in advance. Visa V fees typically range from USD $50 to USD $100 and involve an online application and potentially an in-person interview.
