Japan Sets Out Further Detail on JESTA

Japan's parliament has published further detail on JESTA, the electronic travel authorisation planned for visa exempt visitors.

Japan is preparing JESTA, an electronic travel authorisation that would apply to visitors who currently enter without a visa.

Further detail has been set out on how the system would work, following the legislative groundwork.

Detail published ahead of launch is what allows a registry to hold the correct address from the first day. EntryCheck records Japan's current arrangements and will hold the portal once published.
