Kazakhstan Moves Toward a Paid ETA for Visa-Exempt Travellers

Kazakhstan is proceeding with plans for a paid electronic travel authorisation covering travellers who currently enter without a visa.

Kazakhstan is developing an electronic travel authorisation that would apply to visitors who currently enter visa free, and is proceeding on the basis that it will carry a fee.

The scheme would introduce a pre travel step and a charge where neither currently exists for those nationalities.

A paid authorisation for visa exempt travellers is now a common pattern, following the same shape as ETIAS, the UK ETA and South Africa's system. EntryCheck verifies Kazakhstan's official portal daily.
