Morocco reopens tourist visa applications for Taiwanese citizens after two-month suspension

Morocco has resumed accepting tourist visa applications for Taiwanese nationals, reversing a two-month suspension.

Morocco has reopened the application process for Visa Confirmation Letters (VCLs) for Taiwanese citizens. This allows Taiwanese nationals to obtain authorisation for a visa upon arrival when travelling for tourism.

The change, effective from September 21, reverses a suspension imposed by Moroccan authorities in July. During the two-month halt, new visa confirmations were not processed for Taiwanese travellers.

Applications for non-tourism purposes remain suspended for Taiwanese citizens. In response, Taiwan continues to impose a reciprocal visa ban on Moroccan nationals until all restrictions are fully lifted.
