SADC Approves UNIVISA, a Regional Tourist Visa for Southern Africa

SADC member states have approved an agreement establishing UNIVISA, intended to let visitors travel across participating Southern African countries on a single authorisation.

The agreement establishes the framework. Implementation, including which countries join first and how applications will be made, follows separately.

Regional schemes of this kind change where a traveller applies rather than only whether they need to. EntryCheck tracks each participating country's own portal and will follow the scheme as implementation detail is published.
