The Digital Borders Report is out: 138 countries now run digital entry
EntryCheck's first quarterly report measures how fast the world's borders are going digital, and where.
Issue 01 covers H1 2026, with data as of 30 June, and is built entirely on EntryCheck's live registry of official government entry portals. Among the findings: 138 countries now run some form of digital entry, 108 issue an eVisa, and Africa leads the map with 48. Of 56 policy changes in the half, 23 expanded access and 23 tightened it. The EU's EES and ETIAS going live was the single biggest digital-border shift of the year. Entry is also fast and modest in cost, with 68 countries processing in a day or less at a median starting fee near $32.
