Venezuela Introduces eVisa System for Many Foreign Nationals
Venezuela introduces an eVisa system for foreign nationals, including those from the United States and Canada, simplifying entry.
Venezuela's new eVisa system, launched in April 2026, replaces the previous requirement for embassy visits with an entirely online application. This digital system is initially available for tourist visa applicants from the United States and Canada. Many other nationalities, including those from all European Union member states, remain eligible for visa-free entry. To apply, travellers must fill out an official form, register on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal, and upload required documents. These include a confirmed flight reservation, a passport-style photo, and a scan of their passport.
