One wrong click.
That's all it takes.
EntryCheck exists because its founder was nearly scammed applying for a Southeast Asian eVisa. That one moment of almost losing money to a fake government portal became a mission to make sure no traveller has to go through the same thing.
The Story
It started with a Google search gone wrong.
I was planning a trip to Vietnam. Like most people, I Googled "Vietnam eVisa apply" and clicked one of the top results. The site looked official. It had the Vietnamese flag, government-style fonts, and a form asking for my passport details. I almost submitted my information and paid a processing fee before something felt off.
The URL was wrong. Not the official Vietnamese immigration portal, but a near-identical lookalike built to take your money, your data, and leave you without a valid visa. I closed the tab. But the question stayed with me: how many people don't catch it?
EntryCheck was built from that moment. A simple, human-maintained registry of verified official government portals, so that before you hand over your passport number and credit card, you know you're in the right place.
